The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will release the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit on Wednesday.
This development is welcomed by thousands of candidates who took the opportunity to improve their scores in the resit examination.
According to JAMB registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the board has completed the marking and processing of the resit exams, which were conducted earlier this month.
The resit exercise was organised to allow candidates who were dissatisfied with their initial UTME results or who missed the initial examination date to have another chance to participate.
A total of approximately 379,000 candidates sat for the resit across various centres nationwide. The board assured candidates that the results would be accessible via the official JAMB portal and through authorised result-checking platforms to ensure transparency and ease of access.
Prof. Oloyede encouraged candidates to remain patient and avoid falling prey to fraudulent result-checking websites or services.
He reiterated that JAMB’s official channels are the only legitimate sources for authentic results. Candidates will be able to check their scores using their registration numbers and the unique token provided during registration.
The timely release of the resit results is crucial as many candidates are awaiting their scores to participate in the ongoing admission processes into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Nigeria.
The results will enable them to apply for admission into their preferred institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session.
JAMB’s commitment to conducting a credible and transparent examination process continues to be a priority, with the board promising to maintain high standards in all its operations to enhance the integrity of the UTME exercise.
