The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh nationwide reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

The new price now ranges between ₦875 and ₦905 per litre across the country, representing a ₦15 drop per litre depending on the region.

According to a statement released by the company, the reduced prices apply to all major fuel marketers affiliated with the refinery.

These marketers include MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy. The regional breakdown of the new pricing shows that Lagos residents will buy petrol at ₦875 per litre, while those in the South-West will pay ₦885.

In the North-West and North-Central zones, the price has been adjusted to ₦895 per litre. Meanwhile, motorists in the South-South, South-East, and North-East will purchase petrol at ₦905 per litre.

The refinery explained that the decision to reduce the price was made to provide economic relief to Nigerians and to support the federal government’s broader economic recovery efforts.

It also stated that it remains committed to supplying high-quality fuel products that are both efficient and environmentally friendly.

This latest adjustment follows earlier price reductions by Dangote Refinery. In February, the refinery cut the ex-depot price of petrol from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre, bringing the total decrease to ₦125 within just under a month. That move, which coincided with the Ramadan period, was welcomed by consumers seeking relief from high living costs.
