Renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has touched down in Tanzania to attend the grand wedding finale of Priscilla Ojo, daughter of her colleague, Iyabo Ojo.
The highly anticipated event is the concluding celebration of Priscilla’s marriage to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, following their earlier ceremonies in Nigeria.
Dubbed the “Wedding of the Year,” the finale has drawn a host of Nollywood stars and celebrities to Tanzania. A video circulating online captured Funke arriving at the airport alongside Jayeola Monje, sparking excitement among fans, especially as Funke was unable to attend the Nigerian leg of the wedding.
Despite her absence, Funke celebrated the Nigerian ceremony from afar, sharing heartfelt congratulations and prayers for the couple. She praised Iyabo Ojo for her dedication as a mother, expressing how Priscilla’s happiness reflected her upbringing.
Funke’s presence at the wedding finale underscores the strengthening of her relationship with Iyabo Ojo after their previous fallout. Their reconciliation became evident at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), where the pair were seen rekindling their friendship.
Additionally, Funke openly supported Iyabo’s movie Labake Olododo, commending its aesthetics and visuals. She encouraged Iyabo to continue breaking boundaries, acknowledging her resilience and talent.
