Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has come to the defense of May Edochie following criticism surrounding the celebrity launch of her business in London.
May recently hosted a grand launch party at Hilton Kensington, which drew a massive crowd and was hailed as a success. However, some online critics dismissed the event as cheap.
Taking to Instagram, Rita Edochie fired back, questioning whether renting a venue in central London was an easy or inexpensive feat. She emphasized that only God’s grace could have attracted such a large number of attendees.

Some small-minded individuals have been waging their cursed tongues, saying the event was too cheap. I can only laugh in Swahili. Is it easy to hire a hall in the heart of London? Do you know how much cash went down? The event had massive attendance, and it’s only by God’s grace,” she wrote.
Rita went on to congratulate May on her successful event and teased another grand celebration set for Manchester, promising it would “scatter UK.”
This isn’t the first time Rita has publicly supported May. Just last week, she rebuked Judy Austin for offering prayers for May and her children, stating that the family is already blessed. Earlier, Rita reminded the public that May will always bear the name May Yul Edochie despite her divorce.
