Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed strong confidence that history will judge President Bola Tinubu favorably for implementing difficult but necessary decisions aimed at improving the nation’s prosperity.
Speaking at the State House in Abuja on Thursday, the Vice President reiterated the administration’s dedication to diversifying the Nigerian economy and emphasised Tinubu’s unique political will to take bold actions in the country’s best interest.
Shettima highlighted the President’s recent official trip to Brazil, which resulted in the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding spanning critical sectors such as aviation, agriculture, science and technology, and foreign affairs.
According to the Vice President, these agreements represent deliberate steps toward building a more resilient and varied economic foundation for Nigeria. He described Tinubu as a leader who not only understands the language of business and commerce but also possesses the courage to make tough choices that will benefit the nation in the long term.
In addition to economic matters, the Federal Government is also considering the formation of a specialised task team. This team would be responsible for conceptualising and implementing a standardised architectural framework across the country, aiming to bring structure and coherence to national development projects.
Shettima’s remarks reinforce the administration’s broader agenda of instituting comprehensive reforms and strategic partnerships to drive sustainable growth and development, assuring citizens that the current challenges are part of a larger plan for national renewal.
