A video of the presiding Pastor of House on The Rock Abuja, Pastor Uche Aigbe has surfaced of him holding a gun. The video has been making its rounds. All while setting tongues wagging as the clergyman can be seen carrying an AK-47 gun while preaching.
Reacting to the trending video, after his attention was called to the event by some Twitter users, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi responded:
I have forwarded to the CP FCT to act pls. Thanks. But if it’s true the pastor will have a case to answer. Ak 47??. It falls under the prohibited firearms in Nigeria, and no one bears it except an officer of the law, and not all of them have the right, selected sec operatives. but no individual has the right to bear it.
Some of his church members have however taken to the internet to clear the air about this. They claim that the pastor had only borne the arm for the purpose of illustration. They empathetically repeated that the weapon was not loaded and that no one in the church was scared.
