Ajayi Crowther VC Warns Students Against Immoral Acts

On Friday, Professor Timothy Adebayo, the Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, said that the university would not tolerate immoral behavior between students. He added that the institution would not bend its rules against those who committed evil acts.

In his speech at the entrance ceremony for new students, Mr Adebayo said,

“ACU frowns severely at any form of misconduct. There are stern measures taken against students who engage in the slightest form of examination malpractice. Also, sexual immorality and any other shades of deviant behaviours are not tolerated in the university. The university frowns at indecent dressing, and strict actions are taken against erring students”.

He noted that in the 2022/2023 academic year, the school enrolled more than 1,200 students in 11 faculties and various fields. He added that the school would not slow down in its efforts to produce intellectually and morally advanced graduates who meet the demands of the global market.

According to the Ajayi Crowther University VC, like his predecessor, students will receive entrepreneurial education and vocational training in 17 skills from their first academic year.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof Muyiwa Popoola, also attended the event; the Registrar, Dr. Jadesola Babatola; deans of faculties and principal officers of the university. The Faculty of Humanities Dean, Prof George Lasebikan, advised students to be confident, focused, and positive-minded.
