A student from Premium Breed Secondary School in Nnewichi Nnewi, Anambra State, has been named the overall best in Chemistry in Anambra. He is now one of the six finalists to represent Nigeria in the 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad in Switzerland.
Nwadinobi battled against pupils from more than 600 schools in Anambra to become one of the finalists to represent the nation. Nwadinobi thanked God, his professors, and his commitment to his studies in his address for success.
Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the state commissioner for education, welcomed the team on Friday in her office at the State Secretariat Complex in Awka and reiterated that Nwadinobi’s accomplishment was proof of the State Government’s unwavering dedication to giving Anambra students every chance to succeed academically at both national and international levels.
Chuma-Udeh praised Nwadinobi and the School for their excellent efforts while highlighting the value of ongoing commitment and diligence.
She cautioned them not to take their success for granted because the state would be looking forward to a fantastic Olympiad performance. The achievement, according to the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi’s Education Secretary, Ven. Henry Nduka JP, is proof of the current administration’s dedication to fostering and supporting academic excellence among its students.
Canon Nwajide, the school’s principal, complimented the state government for creating an atmosphere that supported the Anambra education sector. He also mentioned that the school won the top three spots in the competition at the state level.
