Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about her painful breakup, vowing never to showcase her future partners on social media until marriage. The actress shared her heartbreak in a raw Instagram story, detailing the struggles she faced in her recent relationship.
Angela revealed that she recently broke up with her boyfriend, blocking him in the process, but he continued to pester her. She shared her thoughts on the matter, expressing frustration and a sense of betrayal.
In her emotional post, Angela vowed to keep her future relationships private, explaining that until she finds the right partner, no one will see her man or know what he looks like. She boldly declared that she would marry a man who respects her and is faithful, refusing to settle for a man who has eyes for other women.
Angela went on to accuse her ex of using her for fame and women, claiming he had openly talked about pursuing relationships with wealthy women in Lagos and Nollywood. She also described how she had blocked him and removed all traces of him from her social media after discovering his true intentions.
Make una wan that mad man, make he no dey post my picture na. I blocked Casanova for a long time… I will marry right in Jesus’ name; I will not marry a man who has eyes on other women,” Angela stated.
Angela’s social media rants come after a series of ups and downs in her personal life. In February, she had addressed a previous relationship, calling out a popular Instagram blogger for spreading false narratives. Angela made it clear that love was beautiful and encouraged her fans not to be deceived by negativity.
In a more positive post, Angela had once shared a video with her then-boyfriend, a billionaire oil magnate, professing that their love was growing stronger each day. However, her recent public statements reflect a more cautious approach to her romantic life.
This isn’t the first time Angela has spoken about her personal life. In 2023, she revealed that her marriage to Chukwuka Orizu ended because she fell out of love, despite his continued support. She also pointed to the pressure from his family, who didn’t want her to pursue her acting career, ultimately leading to their divorce.
