Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has expressed her displeasure with the growing trend of people claiming they owe no one anything. Taking to her Instagram story, the outspoken star highlighted how this mindset has contributed to irresponsibility, fractured relationships, and societal decay.

In her message, Angela reminded her fans and followers that we all have obligations to others. She emphasized the importance of respect, empathy, compassion, good character, and accountability in building a responsible society.

“I owe nobody this, I owe nobody that.
That’s how we got to this level of irresponsibility, broken relationships, and a reckless society.
Don’t let anybody lie to you.
You owe people respect; you owe people empathy, compassion, regard, good character, and accountability,” she wrote.

This isn’t the first time Angela has used her platform to call for accountability. Over the weekend, she criticized Burna Boy during the fallout from the Lamborghini Sophia Egbueje saga, accusing the singer of lacking empathy and failing to use his influence positively.

Angela’s stance reinforces her consistent advocacy for good character and impactful living, despite her own controversies.

The actress is known for motivating her fans and offering words of wisdom. At the start of the year, she urged her followers to focus on personal growth and avoid seeking validation from others.

In 2024, she encouraged her fans to embrace their authenticity, even when faced with judgment or criticism. Angela has often reminded her audience that overcoming challenges is key to leading a fulfilling life.

In one of her notable posts, she advised those who felt unaccomplished not to succumb to pressure from others’ achievements. Her message was clear: personal growth should not be overshadowed by societal expectations.
