Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay Idibia has proudly declared her daughters, Isabella and Olivia, as her greatest support system. Speaking at the 17th edition of the Headies Awards, where she presented an award, Annie revealed exciting details about her daughters’ creative ventures and her upcoming online TV station.
In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Annie expressed deep admiration for her daughters, describing them as her “backbone.” She also shared updates on her professional endeavors:
“My kids dey Kampe, my first daughter dey Yankee, she dey go school. No play with that girl o. I don’t play with my kids. Na them be my backbone.
Right now, I am working on my own online TV Station, which is Annie Macaulay TV. My daughters have done 11 episodes, which would soon air on my TV.”
The actress has been making headlines for her personal and professional milestones. At the award ceremony, she reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay, signaling a new chapter in her life. Annie emphasized her independence, boldly stating, “I am single,” during her stage presentation.
Recently, Annie shared a touching moment with her second daughter, Olivia, who composed a heartfelt freestyle song for her. In the video, Olivia promised her mother unwavering support, prompting Annie to lovingly call her “my superstar.”
Annie’s first daughter, Isabella, also celebrated her mother’s strength and dedication on Mother’s Day, calling her “the best mother a girl could ever ask for” and reaffirming her love.
This year has been one of change for Annie. Following her separation from legendary singer 2Baba, who has since moved on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, Annie faced public scrutiny and personal challenges.
