Asa Asika, the manager of renowned singer Davido, has shattered conventional expectations by revealing that he does not possess a university degree, despite being the employer of 100 individuals.
In a candid interview with money entrepreneur and author Arese Ugwu, Asa discussed his challenges as an artist manager, with many doubting his chosen path.
Asa disclosed that even his cousin, Naeto C, initially tried to discourage him. However, he persevered and proved that success does not necessarily require following a predetermined route. He believed everyone’s journey is unique and that society often imposes unreasonable expectations for achieving specific goals.
Without the intention to sound condescending or boastful, Asa pointed out that academic qualifications do not always guarantee financial success. He shared examples of friends with PhDs who work traditional 9-5 jobs but struggle to make ends meet. In contrast, he highlighted that he runs multiple businesses, one of which employs 45 individuals and pays their monthly salaries. Asa Asika estimated that he is responsible for approximately 100 salaries without holding a university degree.
