1,689 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been deployed to Bauchi State as part of the 2023 Batch ‘C’ stream II orientation programme.
This was said in an interview conducted on Thursday in Bauchi with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, the state’s coordinator of the programme.
She said that the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo, in the state’s Ganjuwa Local Government Area, will host the orientation for corps members from November 24 to December 14.
She also revealed that only after receiving certification would any potential corps member be permitted entry into the camp.
According to the NYSC Coordinator, this is a security step to make sure that no corps member is impersonated or there is an incursion.
Yakubu said:
“Registration dates have been assigned to prospective corps members and they are advised to adhere strictly to all camp’s rules and regulations.
“Defaulters will be sanctioned in accordance with the NYSC by-laws.”
