Tensions flared within the Big Brother Naija community as Level Up winner Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, engaged in a heated exchange with fellow contestant Khosi over prize money claims.
The conflict erupted after Phyna publicly criticized the Big Brother Niger franchise for allegedly failing to fulfill financial obligations to past participants, including herself. Expressing frustration at the delay in receiving her prizes, Phyna vowed to remain silent to avoid being labeled ungrateful.
However, Khosi, winner of Big Brother Titans, shared screenshots of her credit alert from the organizers, refuting Phyna’s claims and asserting that she had been paid in full. This move incensed Phyna, who interpreted it as an attempt to discredit her grievances.
In a scathing response, Phyna admonished Khosi for undermining the principle of “women supporting women” and accused her of selective memory, insinuating that she conveniently remembered her alert screenshots only after Phyna spoke out.
Asserting her entitlement to the rewards earned during her 72-day stint in the Big Brother house, Phyna underscored the financial hardships she faced and emphasized the need for fair compensation. She criticized Khosi’s timing and questioned her sincerity, suggesting that her newfound activism was motivated by personal gain.
