Janice Dickinson and Lili Bernard have sued Bill Cosby for sexual assault, joining the nine women who allege they were assaulted between 1979 and 1992 in Nevada.
According to the lawsuits, some of the alleged incidents occurred in Cosby’s suite in the same Las Vegas hotel. Lili, who appeared on “The Cosby Show,” alleges that Cosby arranged for her to travel from New York to Nevada in 1990 under the guise of setting up a meeting with Hollywood producers. Upon arriving in Las Vegas, she claims Cosby informed her that the producers couldn’t attend the meeting and instead invited her to his hotel suite for a mentoring session. Lili states that Cosby encouraged her to quickly consume a beverage, which left her feeling dizzy, disoriented, and giddy.
Lili alleges that Cosby drugged her, causing her to lose consciousness in his suite. Upon waking up, she discovered herself naked next to a nude Cosby and claims that he proceeded to rape her despite her objections and pleas for help.
Janice alleges that Cosby gave her a pill to alleviate menstrual cramps during dinner at Lake Tahoe in 1982. She claims that she felt disoriented after taking the pill and that Cosby raped her in his suite despite her resistance.
Lili and Janice accuse Bill Cosby of non-consensual sexual acts, stating they were in no state to resist or consent. The lawsuits filed by the women seek damages for emotional distress and humiliation resulting from the alleged assaults.
Bill Cosby’s lawyer, Andrew Wyatt, questioned the motives behind the lawsuits, suggesting that the accusers’ financial interests and media attention may be influencing the allegations. He stated that Cosby’s legal team will challenge the claims in both the public and legal spheres.
