Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has shared a heartfelt prayer for her father on Instagram, revealing how much he means to her and the special bond they share.
Posting a photo of herself and her father, Bimbo referred to him as her safe place and recounted how he often reminds her that no matter what happens outside, she can always come home.
She mentioned using those words in a recent movie, and for some reason, they resonated with her deeply.
There’s a whole difference between a home and a house,” she wrote, reflecting on the importance of family and the security she feels in her father’s presence.
For Bimbo, her favorite part of December is returning home to spend Christmas with her father, surrounded by her siblings. She described the family reunion as the “icing on the cake.”
Sending a prayer to God, Bimbo expressed her wish for her father’s long life, acknowledging his age and the important role he plays in her life.
Dear God, pls keep my daddy as he’s old and gray, ki iku ma pa daddy mi. There’s a lot I still have to do for him,” she prayed.
In June 2024, Bimbo also celebrated her father with touching tributes for his birthday. She spoke about the moral, emotional, and career guidance he had given her, even sharing how he had set a standard she feels her future husband might struggle to match.
Recalling her emotional win at the AMVCA for Best Actress, Bimbo took her award to her father, reminiscing about the time he supported her through her first audition, waiting patiently for six hours until she was finished. Bimbo credited her father’s influence for much of her success, stating that their neighborhood was the place that produced many of the characters she now portrays on screen.
