The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has neutralised key terrorist commanders Ali Dawud, Bakurah Fallujah, Mallam Ari, and 30 other combatants in Borno State.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Edward Gabkwet, said that the airstrikes carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK, targeted ISWAP terrorist hideouts located within Kolleram hamlet on Lake Chad’s beaches.
According to Gabkwet, the Battle Damage Assessment done following the operation indicated that more than 30 terrorists were killed.
He said:
“Among those neutralized were some senior commanders such as Ali Dawud, Bakura Fallujah, and Mallam Ari.
“Intelligence gathered after the airstrike further indicated that the aerial bombardment effectively obliterated a key facility within the Kolleram enclave, which served as a hub for the terrorists’ food processing activities, including grinding machines.
“By neutralizing key terrorist figures and destroying their logistical infrastructure, the operation has significantly degraded the capabilities of the ISWAP group in the region.”
