President Bola Tinubu’s proposal for a change to the 2022 appropriation act has been granted by the House of Representatives. The decision was made in response to Tinubu’s demand for N500 billion in palliatives for Nigerians to lessen the suffering brought on by eliminating subsidies.
Wednesday’s plenary session saw the amendment pass its first, second, and third readings.
However, following comments from members of the House, the House approved the President’s proposal on Thursday.
