Mauricio Pochettino, the coach of Chelsea, has expressed concern over the sluggish performance of his team this season, attributing it to a series of significant changes made during the summer transfer window. The Premier League club has struggled, currently occupying the 11th position with just three wins from their first 10 matches, including a recent 2-0 home defeat to Brentford.

The challenging start comes in the wake of substantial summer spending, with Chelsea making notable acquisitions such as Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, and Axel Disasi. Coach Pochettino believes that the multitude of changes has hindered the team’s cohesion and readiness for the January transfer window.

Pochettino emphasized the importance of learning from past “mistakes” and called on the club’s ownership to stay composed and united. He urged them to focus on improving the organization and avoiding repeating errors.

Chelsea is set to face Blackburn in the Carabao Cup, and the team’s performance in the coming matches will be closely observed, with speculation surrounding the extent of their spending in the upcoming January transfer window.
