Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha has given fans a glimpse into a precious family moment as she shared a video of her grandmother with music star Davido.
According to Chioma, her grandmother had always wished to meet Davido, and during his Houston show, that dream finally came to life. The actress revealed that not only did her grandmother meet the singer, but Davido warmly opened his arms to give her a hug, making the moment even more special.
Chioma expressed her joy at seeing Davido now married to the love of his life, Chioma Rowland, noting that the memory of that meeting feels even sweeter.
“One for the books,” she wrote, adding that her grandmother’s heart is full and that she will continue to pray for the couple. She celebrated the fact that dreams can come true at any age and cherished moments can last a lifetime.
Chioma’s grandmother isn’t the only one to have had a memorable meeting with Davido. Over the years, several celebrities and fans have shared their own special encounters with the superstar.
Last year, actress Laide Bakare and her daughter Simi met Davido during what she described as one of the best weeks of their lives. Yoruba actor Sanyeri also shared a clip with the singer in Osun State, while BBNaija All-Stars winner Ilebaye Odiniya confessed she was too star-struck to record a video when she met him.
Actress Iyabo Ojo’s assistant, Hgold, showed her excitement by kneeling as she greeted Davido, while legendary singer Charly Boy admitted his hands shook when the Afrobeats star took a selfie of them together, describing him as one of Nigeria’s pride.
