Job Description
As a Compliance and risk Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization’s commitment to regulatory compliance and upholding industry standards through the development and implementation of software solutions. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in ensuring efficient compliance and risk management processes.
Responsibilities
- Software Development: Work closely with the software development team to design, code, and test compliance and risk management software modules.
- Software Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing compliance and risk software tools, addressing any software-related compliance challenges.
- Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional collaboration with compliance officers, risk analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of compliance and risk management processes within software solutions.
- Training and Support: Provide support and training to end-users on the proper use of compliance and risk management software tools.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and evaluating the organization’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Compliance Assessments: Collaborate with compliance professionals to conduct compliance risk assessments and identify potential areas of improvement.
- Policy and Procedure Review: Support the review and enhancement of existing compliance policies and procedures to ensure they align with changing regulatory requirements.
- Compliance Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting compliance reports to regulatory authorities and internal management as required.
- Incident Response: Contribute to incident response efforts by investigating and reporting compliance incidents or breaches.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, audits, and assessments.
- Compliance Audits: Participate in compliance audits and assist in implementing corrective actions to address findings.
- Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging compliance practices to ensure our organization remains current and compliant.
Qualification
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Software Development: Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including version control, testing, and debugging.
- Regulatory Compliance Knowledge (desirable): Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and industry-specific requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO standards).
- Risk Management Concepts: Understanding of risk management principles, risk assessment techniques, and methodologies to assist in compliance risk assessments.
- Software Testing: Ability to conduct testing and quality assurance activities to validate the functionality and accuracy of compliance and risk software modules.
- Documentation: Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and software development processes.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to identify compliance challenges and collaborate on suitable software-based solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, convey technical information, and provide user support.
- Data Analysis: Basic data analysis skills to work with compliance-related data and generate insights from compliance reports.
- Security Awareness: Understanding of software security principles and best practices to implement security measures and protect sensitive compliance and risk data.
