Christian Youth Forum (CYF) has asked Nigerian business leaders to follow the Dangote Group’s lead and lower the prices of their goods and services in order to make life simpler for Nigerians.
The Forum made the request in response to the Dangote group’s announced lowering in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990 to N970 per litre.
In a statement issued by the Christian Youth President, Rev. Joshua Pam, the Christian Forum encouraged business leaders, as well as other players in the petroleum industry, to lower their product prices to make life simpler for Nigerians.
According to the Christian Youth:
“As Christians, we are reminded of the biblical principle in Matthew 25:40, which says, The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
“The reduction in fuel prices will also have a positive impact on the cost of goods and services. As fuel prices drop, the cost of transportation and production will also decrease, leading to a reduction in the prices of goods and services.
“This will be a welcome relief to many Nigerians who have been struggling to make ends meet due to the high cost of living.”
