After being accused of raping a nine-year-old girl, Danladi Wari, 65, blamed the heinous crime on the child. The man admitted what he had done to the police, explained how the girl had seductively touched him, and convinced him to have sex with her.
The Adamawa State Police Command detained the man at his Gangaraso, Jada Local Government Area, home on May 23, 2023. The command also reported that he claimed that the little girl followed him into his chamber and lured him into sleeping with her.
According to Suleiman Nguroje, the State Police Public Relations Officer, the 65 years-old man stated that the girl wanted N200 from him, which he did not give her, but instead mended some garments she had given him for free.
Nguroje stated that the police arrested the perpetrator after the girl’s family filed a complaint.
The Police Public Relations Officer assures the public that the law will prosecute the perpetrator.
