Media personality Daddy Freeze has come to the defense of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie amid criticisms surrounding the launch of his online ministry, The Salvation Ministry.

Yul Edochie recently announced his acceptance of the call to preach the gospel and held his first online service on January 28th.

Daddy Freeze, known for his vocal stance on religious matters, took to social media to defend Yul Edochie against critics. He stated that Yul is not less qualified than any Nigerian pastor to open a ministry as long as he preaches the truth. Daddy Freeze criticized some pastors for their alleged monetized doctrines, conjured miracles, and failed prophecies.

He emphasized that Yul Edochie is not causing as much harm to the gospel as some pastors who have made questionable prophecies or faced legal issues. Daddy Freeze urged people to focus on the actions of pastors with failed prophecies and legal troubles instead of criticizing Yul Edochie.

This defense comes in response to earlier criticism from Twitter influencer Solomon Buchi, who questioned Yul Edochie’s spiritual journey and suitability for ministry due to past controversies such as adultery and polygamy. Other figures, including Noble Igwe and Nina Ivy, also expressed skepticism about Yul Edochie’s sudden transition to ministry.
