In a notable revelation at the high-profile wedding of Temi Otedola and musician-turned-entrepreneur Mr Eazi, Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest individual, expressed his admiration for the groom’s extensive business ventures.

During his speech at the ceremony, the Nigerian billionaire industrialist admitted he had been unaware of the remarkable scale of Mr Eazi’s entrepreneurial activities across the African continent.

Dangote shared that he was deeply impressed to learn that the groom operates businesses in eighteen different countries throughout Africa. He warmly congratulated Mr Eazi, describing him as “a great guy” and praising his significant accomplishments.

Addressing the newly married couple directly, Dangote highlighted their combined charm and entrepreneurial drive, predicting an extraordinarily prosperous future for them. He jovially remarked that in the coming years, he and other established business leaders would likely “take a back seat” and acknowledge the couple as the richest people on earth.

The billionaire also took a moment to honour his close relationship with the bride’s father, Femi Otedola, chairman of Geregu Power and a major shareholder in First Bank.

Dangote emphasised that Otedola was not merely a friend but a brother, stating that their bond was so strong that wherever he was seen, Otedola was likely nearby. He declared that if he were to have a brother not related by blood, it would unquestionably be Otedola. The wedding also marked a personal milestone for the bride, Temi Otedola, who officially adopted her husband’s surname following their marriage in Iceland.
