Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has sparked controversy after using professional social media platform LinkedIn to search for a husband.
The daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola shared a post on her LinkedIn profile, featuring a crying face emoji and a message stating that she was looking for a “finance man” who is 6 feet tall with brown eyes.
“LinkedIn. I’m looking for a finance man: 6 foot, Brown eyes.”
While DJ Cuppy’s post was intended to be light-hearted, it didn’t sit well with many social media users. Twitter was abuzz with criticism as people expressed their shock and disbelief over her decision to share such personal details on a professional platform.
Several users reacted strongly, calling her behavior inappropriate for a platform like LinkedIn, which is traditionally used for networking and professional development. Some Twitter users took to the platform to express their surprise and disapproval:

DJ Cuppy, who has been open about her relationship struggles, has been vocal about her search for a partner, especially after her failed engagement to British boxer Ryan Taylor. The couple got engaged in November 2022, just a month after meeting, but broke up in 2023 due to undisclosed reasons.
