Drake recently shared a heartwarming story about his entry into Lil Wayne’s Young Money Records. This was during an equally heartwarming conversation with Lil Yachty in Turks and Caicos. According to Drake, their relationship began so quickly that they didn’t even get properly introduced.
He revealed that when he rapped his name on their 2008 collaboration track “Ransom,” Wayne initially thought his last name was “Drizzy Drake Rogers,” after one of Canada’s top internet providers. Drake realized the error but didn’t have the heart to correct his mentor.
Interestingly, he was ranked #8 and Wayne at #7 on a Young Money stars list. Wayne recently told Apple Music that he believes he’s better than rap legends such as Jay-Z, Eminem, Tupac, and Biggie.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Wayne’s upcoming “Carter VI” release, which may showcase the rapper’s unmatched skills and talent.
