Drama has unfolded in response to a comparison between Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham and box office record-breaker Funke Akindele.
The comparison arose when an influencer, Adetutu Balogun, mockingly compared Toyin Abraham’s box office victory with that of Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe.
In a tweet in Yoruba, Adetutu stated that Funke Akindele would continue to be their boss because they don’t operate on the same level. This tweet apparently irked Toyin Abraham, leading her to block the influencer.
The move by Toyin Abraham to block Adetutu Balogun has generated mixed reactions. However, it’s worth noting that Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele had previously ended their longstanding feud and reunited in 2023. The actresses celebrated each other’s birthdays and Toyin Abraham attended the premiere of Funke Akindele’s movie, “She Must Be Obeyed.”
The rivalry between Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele gained attention in 2021 when both actresses chose the same release date, September 10, 2021, for their movies, “Ghost and the Tout Too” and “Omo Ghetto: The Saga,” respectively.
