The Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted recent reports alleging that it is currently recruiting personnel. In a statement issued on May 21, 2025, the DSS described these reports as false and misleading.

The agency clarified that it is not conducting any recruitment exercises at this time.

The rumors had suggested that the DSS was accepting applications for various positions, including electricians, plumbers, mechanics, and carpenters, and that the recruitment was open to individuals holding primary and secondary school certificates.

These claims were disseminated through social media platforms, leading to widespread confusion among the public.

In response, the DSS took to its official social media account to address the misinformation. The post read: “The public is advised to ignore any misleading or false information about the service’s recruitment process.

Disregard such claims, please.” This statement serves as a direct response to the circulating rumours and aims to prevent any further dissemination of false information.

The DSS has consistently emphasised the importance of relying on official channels for information regarding its activities and recruitment processes.

The agency has urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment advertisements to the appropriate authorities to prevent potential fraud.
