Senator Monday Okpebholo has been declared the winner of the Edo All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial primary poll.
Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River, who chaired the Edo APC shadow poll, made the announcement after compiling results from the 18 local government areas.
Okpebholo defeated Dennis Idahosa, who received 6,541 votes, with 12,433 votes.
The collation and declaration were held at the Lushville Hotel and Suites on Gapiona Avenue in Benin’s Government Reservation Area (GRA).
