Election Tribunal in Oyo Dismisses Petition Against Makinde

The Election Tribunal in Ibadan dismissed the Allied Peoples Movement’s (APM) last petition challenging the election victory of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
The Tribunal also awarded the second and third respondents N1 million in costs.

All three Tribunal members supported The verdict and cost, who said it would act as a deterrent to politicians who often file frivolous applications.

The Petitioner, APM, submitted a withdrawal petition on Tuesday, while the Tribunal scheduled the hearing on Thursday.
