His revelation is coming on the heels of the news of Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef who broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Erigga expressed desperation to enter the World Guinness Book of Records. He asked fans for suggestions on how he could achieve it. He later contemplated smoking for two weeks to set the record for the longest non-stop smoking by an individual.
The rapper wrote,
“Watin persin wan do when go break record? Abi make I smoke for 2weeks straight without food.”
Fans know Erigga’s music for its raw and gritty lyrics that often reflect the realities of life on the streets. They often hail him for his storytelling ability, which he uses to paint vivid pictures of the struggles and triumphs of everyday people.
In 2013, he released his debut studio album “A Trip to the South”, and in 2017, he dropped his follow-up “Okorowanta.” He has since released several other albums and collaborated with many other artists in the Nigerian music industry.
The music industry has recognized Erigga for his contributions. He has won several awards and nominations, including the Best Street Hop Artist at the 2020 Headies Award. He is also known for his philanthropic endeavors and supports various community charity initiatives.
