Preparing and analyzing finance-based questions across various roles within the accounting space
Overview
Wemy Industries is one of the foremost indigenous and oldest established manufacturers in Lagos, Nigeria. We specialize in producing baby diapers, feminine sanitary napkins/pads, panty liners, adult diapers, maternity pads, underpads, and baby wipes under the umbrella brand names of ‘Dr. Browns’ and ‘Nightingale’.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and analyzing finance-based questions across various roles within the accounting space (industry standard)
- Performing periodic reviews and evaluations of the quality, cogency, and structure of the database and making strategic recommendations. financial analyst
- Staying updated with the latest trends in the accounting space globally.
- Noting the feedback of the candidate’s experience of the assessments and making necessary adjustments
- Developing reports, tools, and Excel dashboards for reporting, and analyzing candidates’ experience.
- Identifying investment opportunities and studying risk factors
- Preparing documentation to help startups in getting funds. financial analyst
- Creating financial models (often in Excel) to inform strategies and forecasts. Job
- Work on special projects as required.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Must have a first-class or 2.1.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACA, and ACCA will be an added advantage.
- Should have 4 – 7 years of relevant work experience as a financial Analyst in the Tech industry.
Required Skills:
- Must be a tech enthusiast.
- Good understanding of trends, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the technology sector
- Good data-gathering, analysis and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Proficiency:
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools. (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of accounting packages and systems, including SAP, Sage, and QuickBooks.
