Nigerian gospel singer and former Destiny Kids’ sensation, Rejoice Iwueze, has subtly addressed the criticism she faced in the wake of the birth of her first child. The songstress recently became the target of religious fans who expressed their concerns on her social media platforms.
Over the weekend, Kemi Filani reported that some of Rejoice Iwueze’s religious followers took to her comment section to voice their disapproval of her becoming a mother so soon after getting married. The former Destiny Kids’ star tied the knot in November and had recently announced the birth of her child through a series of photos from her maternity shoot.
In her announcement, Rejoice Iwueze joyfully shared that she and her husband had transitioned from being a couple to embracing parenthood, reaffirming their trust in God’s blessings.
However, a couple of religious critics, unaware of her wedding date, raised objections to her pregnancy, assuming that it had occurred before her marriage.
In response to these criticisms, Rejoice Iwueze posted pictures from her hospital bed while holding a bouquet. Accompanying the images was a heartfelt caption in which she prayed for her fans to receive a miracle that would leave their detractors bewildered.
She wrote, “May the Lord give you the kind of MIRACLE that will leave your enemies CRACKING their heads. Can I get an AMEN.”
