Former WWE star Sara Lee, who won the sixth season of WWE’s reality show competition Tough Enough in August 2015, has reportedly died by suicide, according to a new autopsy report. The 30-year-old passed away in October of last year.

According to TMZ Sports, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office documents revealed that Lee consumed a ‘lethal combination of alcohol and pills’ and that there were ‘letters of intent at the scene’ before her death. Additionally, officials suspected that Lee’s bruises and abrasions on her body and head were caused by multiple falls while intoxicated, as noted in the report.

After her death, WWE released a statement expressing their condolences: “As a former “Tough Enough” winner, Lee was an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans.”

Wrestler Cory Weston, known as Wesley Blake in the ring, was Lee’s husband, and they had three children together. After her passing, Weston posted a heartfelt tribute to his wife on Instagram, saying,

You were a motivator, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, the backbone of our family, and (my favourite), my wife. I can’t promise that I will stop grieving, but I know now that you’re free. I can’t thank you enough for giving me the best years of my life so far.”

Sara Lee’s Life:

After being born in Hope Township, Michigan, Lee pursued her passion for powerlifting in high school, where she competed competitively. Afterwards, she studied medical sonography at Delta College in Bay City, Michigan. After entering the WWE reality TV show, a fan vote declared her the winner, earning her a $250,000 (£198,000) contract with the franchise for a year.

After leaving WWE in 2016, Lee trained in Orlando, Florida, with Team Vision Dojo. She and Weston tied the knot in December 2017, and they had a daughter, Piper, who is now five years old, a three-year-old son named Brady, and a baby boy born in August 2021.

Her passing has left a deep void in the wrestling community, and her fans and peers will remember her legacy as a former WWE star.
