Recently, she took to Instagram to share a heartwarming video featuring herself and some of her Everybody Loves Jenifa castmates—Bisola Aiyeola, Layi Wasabi, and Omotunde Adebowale David—as they attended the premiere of the film in the United Kingdom in December.
In her post, Funke delivered an empowering message, encouraging her followers to rise above life’s challenges and focus on the positive aspects of life. She reminded them that life is too short to be weighed down by worries and urged everyone to spread love and joy wherever they go.
“Life is too short to let worries get us down! Let’s focus on the good, stay positive, and spread love and joy wherever we go! And remember, when we smile, we look good and feel good – and that’s the best accessory of all!”
She also used the opportunity to promote her latest movie, urging fans to go see Everybody Loves Jenifa in cinemas nationwide, while continuing to share positivity.

The rumors alleged that Funke was attempting to hold Tobi back from exploring other opportunities. However, Tobi Makinde, who played the role of Funke’s personal assistant in the early seasons of Jenifa’s Diary, recently took to social media to set the record straight. He publicly debunked the claims that Funke did not treat her workers well. He showered her with accolades, expressing his gratitude for her love, mentorship, and the role she played in his growth.
Tobi acknowledged that Funke’s kindness had played a significant part in his success, and he has never forgotten her support.
