Hazard Suggests Fabregas for Chelsea Manager Role

Chelsea is searching for a new manager after parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine coach left Stamford Bridge following a single season, where Chelsea struggled for consistency.

Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard, speaking to talkSPORT, expressed disappointment over Pochettino’s departure. “I was a bit sad, to be fair. I think he did a great job. It’s just a season of transition. He’s a great manager, I wish him good luck,” Hazard said.

Hazard then hinted at potential candidates for the job. When asked about Brighton’s outgoing manager Roberto De Zerbi, Hazard responded, “Maybe.” He also cheekily suggested his former teammate, Cesc Fabregas, who recently helped Como achieve promotion to Serie A in Italy as a caretaker and assistant coach.

“I also have my friend in Como; he can be the first manager,” Hazard added, referring to Fabregas.

Despite Hazard’s suggestion, Fabregas is not currently on Chelsea’s shortlist. The club is considering Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca as the top candidates, with Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna no longer in contention.

Chelsea fans are eager to see who will take the helm next, hoping for a manager who can bring stability and success back to Stamford Bridge.
