ICT OFFICER – Job Description
- Manage the overall technology infrastructure for the Organization including planning, implementation, and management of the software applications and hardware infrastructure that support operations, liaising as relevant with technology service providers.
- Propose office design improvements to the Organization’s ICT architecture
- Support and contribute to IT-related tasks or projects by implementing appropriate technologies and solutions.
- Act as the principal administrator and ensure the maintenance of the Organization’s systems, including general computer support; software installations; license management; server setup and management; database administration; network, printers, audio/video conferencing, and mobile phone support; deployment of equipment; management of inventories; disaster recovery; and periodic security vulnerability assessments.
- Manage support services for the Organization’s IT systems, platforms, and products; including management of IT support technician(s), communicating job expectations, and appraising performance as appropriate.
- Provide user training on standard business applications and the use of systems.
- Develop and update IT processes and procedures, and ensure they are adequately documented.
- Support the procurement process for IT equipment and services.
- Undertake such other duties as may be requested by the organization to support the delivery of the ICT strategy and the Organization’s business goals and objectives
- Support with the creation of designs for social media, business presentations, etc.
Qualifications
- 2 – 5 years experience as an ICT Officer
- Have an experience with creative designs skills using Canva or other design tools
- Experience with designing PowerPoint documents and excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Good English in written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information clearly to users and grasp perceived difficulties.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to exercise sound judgment in resolving problems.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn on the fly and stay up to date with the latest technology.
