The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, is prepared to deploy a Special Intervention Squad (SIS) to apprehend the current rise in abduction, murders, and other operations of the ruthless bandits in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The IGP stated that once the special operations are initiated, they would be deployed to all Area Councils in the nation’s capital city.
Recall that in recent weeks, the gunmen have attacked and abducted many territorial inhabitants.
President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike have assured residents that they are committed to bringing the security situation under control.
