Maradun Local Government Area Electoral Official and the Returning Official for the just concluded Zamfara State governorship election have been kidnapped.
The incident happened in the local government area in the hometown of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle on Monday.
The officials of INEC were heading to the headquarters of the Commission in Gusau, the state capital when they were kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location.
Muktari Janyau, the Public Relations Officer of the state’s INEC, confirmed the report. He also said the matter had been reported to the Police.
