Election observer group, Yiaga Africa has called for a full investigation into the Independent National Electoral Commission’s delay in uploading election results during last Saturday’s presidential and parliamentary elections.
Yiaga Africa Director Dr Aisha Abdullahi said this during the announcement of the group’s results from Saturday’s elections.
INEC’s failure to upload election results to the IReV portal raised concerns, with some Nigerians claiming it compromised the process.
Abdullahi noted that serious logistical and technical deficiencies undermine public confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission.
