Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, has arrived in Israel for a meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Sunak is expected to demand that humanitarian supplies be given to Gaza as quickly as possible in the midst of the conflict.
The British leader arrived in Il just 24 hours after US Vice President Joe Biden visited and pledged $100 billion in aid.
Sunak’s visit was part of the international leaders’ attempts to keep the confrontation with Hamas from spreading to the rest of the region.
“I am in Israel, a nation in grief. I grieve with you and stand with you against the evil that is terrorism. Today, and always,” Sunak made a post on X this morning.
He will see Netanyahu on Thursday before travelling to other regional capitals to express his sorrow for the civilians slain thus far in the conflict.
