Ivy Ifeoma, the new wife of music star Paul Okoye from the legendary group Psquare, has addressed his recent birthday message to his ex-wife, Anita Okoye.
When Anita celebrated her birthday, Paul had publicly wished her well, calling her “Mama Ejima,” which sparked conversations online.
During a Q&A session with fans, Ivy shared her perspective on the tribute, saying she saw nothing wrong with it. “I see nothing wrong with that. He wished her a happy birthday. Is that supposed to be a bad thing?” she questioned.
Ivy also spoke about the long-standing rift between Psquare members Paul and Peter. Although she admitted to being upset by their split, she expressed her reluctance to get involved and urged fans to approach the duo if they wanted to help resolve the issue. “I personally am not happy about Psquare’s split. But it is what it is, and if you want to know what to do to bring them back, please go and ask them, not me,” she said.
When asked about her relationship with Paul’s children, Ivy harshly responded to the insinuation that she might mistreat them, calling the questioner foolish. “Some of you are just very very stupīd,” she retorted.
Fans had mixed reactions to her statements:
- Ronik Fab commented, “Who asked you?”
- Official Gwen25 wrote, “To be honest, you don’t have to answer. Go and learn from Chioma.”
- Dody Services added, “Must you answer?”
This is not the first time Ivy has confronted online trolls. In August, she expressed frustration with the negative comments she receives. Despite being hardened to trolling, she called out those who insult celebrities for attention or money. Earlier in January, Ivy reflected on the difficulties of dating a high-profile star, admitting that public scrutiny and being labeled a homewrecker were hurtful.
Paul Okoye has defended Ivy, emphasizing that their relationship began after his marriage with Anita ended. He criticized those who crave drama in divorces and assign blame for entertainment.
