Nollywood actress and producer Iyabo Ojo has fiercely addressed the circulation of her private conversation with singer Naira Marley, which recently went viral. The screenshots, which suggested a deeper connection between the two, stirred online discussions, especially in light of Iyabo’s previous comments denying any involvement with the singer.
In her response, Iyabo Ojo clarified that her interactions with Naira Marley were professional, focused on promoting artists and supporting rising talents. She shared that Naira Marley first contacted her through her son, Festus Ojo, and that their exchanges were centered around her work in promoting artists, including the artist’s own music. She also mentioned inviting Naira Marley to her movie premiere and her mother’s burial party, highlighting their past cordial relationship.
However, Iyabo Ojo did not shy away from addressing the elephant in the room – the tragic death of Mohbad and the alleged bullying involving Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry. While she clarified that she never accused Naira Marley of causing Mohbad’s death, she expressed deep concern over his lack of action during the bullying incidents. The actress vowed to continue fighting for justice for Mohbad, stating that she would not turn a blind eye to injustice, no matter the personal relationships involved.
She also hinted at other serious allegations that may come to light in court if necessary, further asserting her stance against any form of injustice. Iyabo Ojo concluded her post by emphasizing her commitment to speaking out, regardless of past interactions, and affirmed that she would continue to fight for what is right.
The statement ended with a mention of her upcoming project, Labake Olododo, set to hit cinemas on March 28, 2025.
