Job Description
The Jr. Project Manager is responsible for the successful performance of task orders and contract execution, including the cost and product delivery elements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the structured coordination of planning and execution of product releases across specifically assigned cross-functional teams;
- Track and manage projects, providing weekly progress reports against the plan
- Assist with planning, monitoring, and control of feature release plans.
- Facilitate an environment allowing the cross-functional team to deliver projects to meet established goals and objectives;
- Oversee the completion of all aspects of projects; develop and adhere to master plans schedules;
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope;
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques;
- Report and escalate to Manager as needed;
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, are consistent; and satisfy both external and internal requirements;
- Ensure programs remain on budget and communicate budget/funding concerns to internal and external leadership;
- Communicate project/program requirements to gain management support;
- Identify possible improvements in the work process for customers;
- Pursue a program of self-development using selected reading, seminars, or participation in continuing education;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred);
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant Project Management experience;
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office software; expert in Microsoft Excel;
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
