Kebbi: Troops raid terrorists’ hideout, rescue four kidnapped victims

Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 8th Division, in coordination with operatives from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and local vigilantes, launched an early morning raid on a terrorist camp, rescuing four abducted people and recovering rifles and ammunition.

A statement on the Nigerian Army X account, @HQNigerianArmy, written by Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations, 1 Brigade Gusau, revealed that the targeted raid operation took conducted in Sabon Gari Village, Shanga Local Government Area, Kebbi State.

During the operation, the military neutralised one terrorist and successfully freed four kidnapped hostages.

Ibrahim added that the forces also found three AK-47 weapons, three magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and two pairs of camouflage clothing in the terrorists’ bunker.

He stated that all four rescued male victims had been reunited with their families.

The military, demonstrating unflinching dedication to restoring regional security, continue to hunt and track down injured and fleeing terrorists.

According to the statement:

“All the rescued victims who are 4 males have since been reunited with their families, while troops continued to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorists.”
