Vanessa Bryant, the widow of former basketball star Kobe Bryant, has won a $28.8 million settlement in her lawsuit against L.A. County following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of her husband and daughter, Gianna, in 2020.
This settlement comes after her initial win of $15 million last year, and an additional $13 million from L.A. County. Vanessa’s lawyer stated that this resolves all current and future claims from her surviving daughters, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
The settlement also brings an end to Vanessa Bryant’s courageous fight to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
Despite the emotional testimony she gave on the stand, Vanessa plans to donate the money from the settlement to her Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in honour of Kobe and Gianna.
