Nollywood actor Linc Edochie has expressed gratitude to his younger brother, Yul Edochie, for helping him make a triumphant return to the film industry. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Linc revealed that Yul’s encouragement and mentorship reignited his passion for acting, allowing him to stage a comeback after a long hiatus.
Sharing a video of himself with Yul, Linc Edochie emphasized the unbreakable bond of family, stating, “Blood is thicker than water.” According to Linc, Yul encouraged him to return to Nollywood in 2015 after a prolonged absence. While procrastination delayed his return, he eventually heeded his brother’s advice in 2020.
Linc disclosed that Yul, a seasoned theatre professional, taught him many of the skills he now uses in his craft. Praising his younger brother’s talent, he declared, “Love or hate him, this man remains one of the greatest actors and filmmakers in this country.”
Despite their closeness, the brothers have had moments of public disagreement. Last year, Yul lashed out at Linc for criticizing his decision to make his second marriage public. Yul accused Linc of hypocrisy, referencing his own private marital struggles.
Their strained relationship became more apparent following Yul’s controversial marriage to fellow actress Judy Austin, a move that divided the Edochie family. Even their father, veteran actor Pete Edochie, reportedly disapproved of the union.
Despite their differences, Linc’s recent tribute highlights the enduring bond between the brothers. Linc’s acknowledgment of Yul’s influence serves as a reminder of the role family plays in personal and professional growth, even amid challenges.
