The Argentine midfielder playing for Brighton has been on the radar of various clubs since his phenomenal performance at the World Cup.
Liverpool actively seeks a new midfielder to bounce back from a disappointing 2022-23 season, with Mac Allister reportedly their top target.
Mac Allister will likely depart in May or June, aligning with Jurgen Klopp’s preference to secure transfers before pre-season. Alexis signed a new deal with Brighton before the World Cup, keeping him on the club’s books until 2025.
The contract extension should allow the Seagulls to bring in a significant fee. However, before he can leave for Anfield, Alexis will see out the season with Brighton when they face Aston Villa in their last game on Sunday.
