Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem winner and All Star first runner-up, Mercy Eke, has revealed she is ready for marriage.
Via her Snapchat page, the reality star expressed her eagerness to settle down, even humorously suggesting she wouldn’t mind settling with her gender. She reiterated her readiness, emphasizing how sweet love is.
I’m so ready. I won’t need the gender like this. Love is sweet. I’m so so ready.”
This announcement came shortly after Mercy attended her friend and actress Sharon Ooja’s wedding in Abuja. Kemi Filani reported that Sharon Ooja got traditionally married to her heartthrob, Ugo Nwoke, whom she met within three months. The couple is set to walk down the aisle in a white wedding in Abuja tomorrow.
Mercy Eke’s declaration about marriage sparked various reactions online:
– One Mr Sheggzy wrote, “Una don quickly surrender for marriage.”
– One Hairbylush Ng wrote, “Let the will of God be done in your life.”
– One Queen Chidiebere2802 wrote, “God will give you the right man. No gender comparison. You’re too beautiful for such nonsense.”
– One Tigress Vera Sammy wrote, “Are u a lesbian?”
– One Anya Odeh wrote, “Nice one but mind gender o, cos the one you envied, she’s married to a man who adores her.”
– One Peaceful Baddie wrote, “Woman to woman relationship is even more sweeter.”
– One Ebychytoo wrote, “When the time is right the Lord will make it happen Lambo.”
Mercy Eke’s current relationship status is unclear, but in January, she hinted at being in a relationship after showcasing extravagant gifts from a mystery man, including a dollar bouquet, which she flaunted on Twitter, expressing her appreciation.
While in the All Stars house, Mercy revealed she was in a relationship with a billionaire who had offered her the show’s grand prize of N120 million to not participate in the reality show, but she rejected it. She claimed her boyfriend promised to pay her the money within three months, and to prove her point, she stated that her co-housemate, Frodd, knows her boyfriend.
Interestingly, after exiting the show, Mercy briefly dated fellow co-housemate Pere. They were spotted on several romantic outings, and Mercy was even caught kissing him. However, their relationship didn’t last long as they unfollowed each other on social media and parted ways. Mercy was also romantically linked to Ike Onyema, whom she met during the Pepper Dem season, but they eventually separated.
